“Local government can have a greater impact on your day-to-day life than you may realize. Housing, traffic, clean water, and clean air are frequently more influenced by local decisions than by politics at the provincial or federal level”
– Better North Shore
We are a neighbourhood association for the 21st century
We are gathering similar-minded people to give you a voice that councils listen to. We believe the North Shore is more ready for larger changes than our current councils admit. If our municipal councils rely on existing neighbourhood associations to represent us for opinions regarding transportation, housing and climate, we won’t be moving fast enough. And that’s what we need. We’ll represent you at council meetings, events and other decision points if you want transportation equity, more housing options, local food, green roofs, and streets for kids and people, not traffic. Let us know how we can help.
Our Values
EQUITY Everyone, regardless of financial status, can enjoy the North Shore to live, work, and play.
FREEDOM We all have the freedom to choose how to get around and where we live.
RESPONSIBILITY We will make the North Shore liveable for our kids, grandkids, and generations to come.
